ON PRESIDENTIAL SHAME SPIRALS

Did you hear the bar when it hit the concrete sidewalk?

Trump wants Governor Walz to take responsibility for the shootings, and he won’t even call him.

It’s illogical to teach young people that it’s okay not to care about others, it’s downright mean, and show’s once again, how Trump is invested in getting back at people, making more enemies, instead of bringing people together.

That’s the bleeding heart liberal democrat inside me, and there’s no shame in my game. Likewise, that’s the Minnesota born and raised in me.

Right now my dear friends are afraid and profoundly sad that it has come to this. No one I know in Minnesota would miss the chance to do the right thing and call someone, even a political apponent, to say how sorry they are.  If you attend an after funeral gathering at a home in Minnesota, the phone won’t stop ringing with friends and acquaintances asking “How can I help?” and comments like “I’m in the car, we’re bringing a casserole and case of pop to your home right now!”

I’m embarrassed that our president couldn’t even pick up the phone to call Governor Walz, and even more embarrassed that he told everyone he’s that petty. Children and young people are listening.
